General Maintenance Ltd. (GML) was selected to carry out the design, fabrication, and installation of a robust multi-level steel support structure for reefer containers at Malta Freeport Terminal.

General Maintenance Ltd. (GML) was selected to carry out the design, fabrication, and installation of a robust multi-level steel support structure for reefer containers at Malta Freeport Terminal. This custom-built installation plays a critical role in supporting refrigerated containers (“reefers”) used for temperature-sensitive cargo storage and handling.

Custom Steel Fabrication
GML engineered and fabricated a heavy-duty steel framework tailored to the operational and load-bearing needs of reefer container stacks. The structure includes integrated access platforms, safety railings, and cable support systems to accommodate power supply and monitoring equipment for refrigerated units.
Installation & On-Site Assembly
All prefabricated components were transported and installed on-site by GML’s specialized team. The structure was erected with precision alignment and secured with heavy-duty anchors to ensure full compliance with Freeport’s operational and safety standards.
